One of the characteristics of the peace that Jesus gives is that it transcends all understanding. There is this other superficial kind of peace that comes from other things. You get it and you understand why. You have peace because you have this or you have that, you have peace because you do this or you do that, you have peace because you are this or you are that etc... When those things are gone or even when you get bored with them, the peace goes out the window.
But, the peace that Jesus gives is not like that. You have it because He gave it to you. You don’t have this, you don’t have that, you are missing this, you are missing that, you are not rich or anything like that and yet you have peace. You may even wonder yourself why you have peace. Lili says “Mindin new des Yemilegn, libien desta yemolaw?”. That is how it feels. It is not easy to explain. You have no idea how it works but you know it is working and you have it. That is the kind of peace Jesus gave us.
