Do You Not Perceive It?

"Forget the former things;  do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."  Isa 43:18-19

How many times have you revceived this verse as a verse of promise?  a promise that the Lord is going to do something new.   I have heard it many times.  But a closer look at the verse shows that this verse actually is more of a wake up verse than a promise verse.

In this verse the Lord is not speaking about things that he will do in the distant future but about things that he has already started doing in the present but the people have failed to see.  The verse does not say,  I will do new things.  It says,  I am doing, i.e., in the present tense.

The question the Lord is asking his people is,  "Do you not perceive it?"

This is basically the question I want to leave you with this week.  Do you not perceive it?

Some of us are caught up in what we like to call vision and always think about tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow and fail to see what the Lord is doing today.  Some of us are dwelling in the past, just like Israel in this verse, and fail to see what is happening right before our eyes.

Tomorrow will worry about itself.   Jesus

Yes! When we LISTEN TO GOD WE WALK IN "THE NOW .. FAITH IS (PRESENT TENSE).." Hebrews 11:1 When we learn to walk by faith we would be filled withthe "Hope" of tomorrw and we deal with all that happened, is and is going to happen with love. If Our yesterday's reminders are full of regrets and Our tomorrows are full of fear, God has 'THE PRESENT' aka "Jesus Christ, His Son!", who can take care of them all .. Let's accept Him, and Live in Him!

It's always best to compare so that you don't come across any surprises. It's also good to investigate whatever site you are on.
